The parable Of Life.

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem.

Amongst the signs of Allah which fascinates is that of the rain, for sometimes, between the warmth and the beauty of the rays from the sun do clouds begin to gather by the commandment of Allah, thus causing rain to pour down from within them. These rain drops reach the ground, making moist the earth once dry. The clouds clear and the rays from the sun begin to shine again, and the earth that was once moist from the rain goes back to the state it was before, almost like nothing happened. 

Allah says: "Set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: it is like the rain which we send down from the skies: The earth's vegetation absorbs it. But soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things." Suratul Kahf {18:45}

The life in this world is as short and as fleeting as the time between the presence of moist from the rain on the earth and it's disappearance. Just like the earth becomes dry again after the rain, so would everything in this dunya come to an end; Our wealth, our families and the life in which we hold on ever so dearly to.

In the end, only Allah prevails over all things, thus, never would we be at loss if our efforts are redirected away from the fleeting life of this world and towards gaining the pleasure of Allah, the Ever Living.
