Unstable Hearts

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem.

Sometimes, our hearts ache for certain reasons we can't explain. We look for explanations as to why we feel that way and we look for any possible solutions to these feelings, but then, nothing works.

As my dear sister said to me, "sometimes all our hearts need is time. The time to heal." Hence, we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves when our hearts feel a certain way. We have no control over our hearts, but Allah is the controller of all hearts. So we should, through that period, ask Allah to rekindle our hearts. Meanwhile, we should remain patient and allow our hearts the time it needs to heal.

Allah is All-Wise, and most aware of what our hearts go through, and He most certainly knows why He has allowed us feel this way. So, instead of letting this weigh us down, we should instead, maximize it and take it as an advantage for us to make extra du'a (supplication). We should ask Allah, that every time out hearts feel pain, He should make it an expiation for our sins (and whatever more we need to ask for). This brings us closer to Allah, and surely, Allah is the Hearer and The One Who answers supplications.

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. {Q2:186}

And she said, "Even though you may feel unstable sometimes, the important thing is to know & remember that you are in fact blessed in every way (gratitude to Allah that is). Don't forget to make du'a every time you feel this way, For Allah would comfort you in ways you cannot imagine. He will remove your distress (and certainly, only He is able to).

Amongst all the worries that you have, let the greatest be your Imaan (faith); The condition of your heart. if your Imaan is stable, then everything else is secondary. It is like preparing a ship to sail through troubled waters or a storm. Your greatest concern should be the condition of the ship and not the storm. You will sail through if you ship is strong and stable, and it is one thing amongst the others that you can help. You can correct any defects and make necessary repairs, but for the storm, you cant stop. The repair for  your ship would be your holding on tight to Allah and your du'a to increase your Imaan.

Trials, they say, will surely come. As believers we expect it. Perhaps the feelings are in fact a trial. In that case, all you need is firm Imaan (faith), Sabr (patience), and Tawakkul (Trust in Allah) to go through safely. It will surely pass. Slowly maybe... But surely."

May Allah reward her abundantly and infinitely, for her earnest efforts in bringing comfort to the lives of others. May Allah increase her Imaan and keep her firm on the deen. Certainly all good comes from Allah alone so may He increase her in humility, to acknowledge that. May Allah make us companions in Jannah Ya Ukhti ♥
