Revisiting those very familiar feelings

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem.

Amazing is the condition of the heart isn't it? One moment we are up and the next we are down. Explains to us the true meaning of the word "Qalb", arabic for heart, which literally means "that which constantly changes".  It is this feeling that caused me to fall so so soooo in love with suratul Duha. This beautiful chapter of the Qur'an has been my motivation in life and it's theme my inspiration for this piece I wrote a while back;

He has not forsaken you.
I saw the brightness of the day and how sorrow overshadowed it,
And in those moments of overstretched darkness that seemed never-ending,
Those moments of utter weakness and a heart filled with distress,
His words came and cleared the horizons,
To reveal the sun and it's utmost glory;

"Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased, & surely the hereafter is much better for you than the present, and your Lord will give you so much that you would be pleased" (Duha:3-5)

So I hold on to them as I continue to strive,
For the words of my Lord are nothing but a certainty,
And what lies with Him is greater than all this world has to offer.

He has not forsaken you, so do not forsake Him.

"By the forenoon, and by the night when it becomes still, your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased. And the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present. And your Lord will give you so much that you will be pleased. Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? And He found you wandering, and guided you. And He found you in need, and made you free from need. Therefore, as for the orphan, do not opress him, and as for the beggar, do not scold him. And about the bounty of your Lord, do proclaim."
